East lake is known for it's abundant and healthy Brown Trout. They are said to easy reach over 10 pounds. The lake also offers Rainbow Trout, Atlantic Salmon, and Kokanee Salmon. Popular fishing methods include still-fishing, trolling, fly fishing, jigging, and casting. There is a public, paved boat ramp on the southwest side of East Lake that has a small parking lot.
